Muffle Furnance
Microvision Engineering Pvt Ltd
A Muffle
furnace is a furnace in which the subject material
is isolated and heated through high-temperature
electric heating elements
A muffle furnace is a front-loading box-type oven or
kiln They are also used in many research facilities,
for example by chemists in order to determine what
proportion of a sample is non-combustible and
non-volatile (i.e., ash). Digital controllers allow
RS232 interface and permit the operator to program
up to 126 segments, such as ramping, soaking,
sintering, and more. Also, advances in materials for
heating elements, can produce working temperatures
up to 1800 degrees Celsius, which facilitate more
sophisticated metallurgical applications.
The muffle furnace may also be used to describe
another oven constructed on many of the same
principles as the box type klin, but takes the form
of a long, wide, and thin hollow tube used in roll
to roll manufacturing processes. |

Muffell furnaces are usually heated to desired
temperatures from electrical heating elements.
Therefore there is no combustion involved in the
temperature control of the system, which allows
for much greater control of temperature
uniformity and assures isolation of the material
being heated from the byproducts of fuel
combustion.
The casing is made
of thick MS sheet (reinforced with iron angles
for high temperature models). Swing door with
peep hole is provided. Casing is duly painted.
Grooved Refractories / tiles support the Heating

Elements / Rods placed
in between the MS Sheet Casing and the Heating
Chamber. Hot and Cold faced bricks are provided to
keep the shell temperature within 80șC. Maximum
temperature ranges upto 1100șC and 1450șC,
10șCtemperature uniformity in the chamber is
maintained. Temperature is controlled by a Indicator
with PID Controller. An electrical control pannel
box houses all the electrical parts. Works on
220/440 Volts, AC, single / three phase mains. |
